My Day Friday – Spray Painting My Figurine

I can’t believe it is Friday already! Well people, it is My Day and I am reaching out for a little advice.  Have you seen all those nifty spray painted figurines that people are using in their decor? I seem to always read blog posts of people finding these awesome looking figurines in thrift shops and spray painting them to and then they become even more glorious.  Well I have been looking and looking at thrift shops and the only figurines I seem to find are Easter bunnies and geese.  Where are all the cool owls and stuff? Then I finally found something that was worth grabbing.

This little guy.  Now what to do with him…. My first inclination was to spray paint him white.  I like the simplicity of white and it lends itself nicely to other decor.

Megan from The Remodeled Life spray painted her owls (how did she find owls?!) neutral colors and they look so classy.

Then there is the trendy gold that is going on right now.

Should I bling out my little bird like Tara from Suburble did to her gold draft horse?

Or do I go bold with some color? Cassie from Hi Sugarplum! painted her dollar elephants red and glued them to white stones.  Now that is a cool contrast.

Perhaps I should just leave him au naturale? Oh what is a girl with a little bird figurine to do? What do you think?

I would do a light dusting of sky blue so some of the brown still shows through. 🙂
