Serving the World Map

I made this for my Dad for Father’s Day. It is a map of the world and each of the hearts represents a place where someone in my immediate family has served a mission for our church.  I used my Silhouette to cut out the map and the scripture in black vinyl and the hearts out of paper.  I got the frame from Hobby Lobby and it is so cool because it allowed me to keep the hearts somewhat 3-D.

I have visions of it on an end table with a vintage Book Of Mormon and Bible stacked next to it.  This would also be a fun idea for places that you have visited.

  1. Love this idea, too!! 😉

  2. I want to make this, and I was wondering what the background was, and how you came up with the preportions to make it look so good?

  3. Love this idea, Lisa! My niece wants to use my Silhouette to make one for her family. Can you share where you got your cutting file for the map, please? Thanks so much!
