This is another recipe that I make when I have leftover roast beef. If you missed the other one you can see it here. The recipe comes from my uncle who served a mission for our Church in Japan. We call it Nicadone in our family. The recipe is kind of like a Japanese omelette with meat. It requires only a few basic ingredients and is really easy to make. Plus it utilizes your leftover roast beef (or steak!) and stretches it to make another meal!
Take your leftover meat and chop it up. You really don’t need a ton of meat for this dish.
Saute the peppers (and onions if desired). Add the meat just to heat it up.
Combine the egg, sugar, soy sauce and milk in a bowl. Add the egg mixture on top of the peppers and meat and cook.
Japanese Nicadone Omelette Recipe
1/4 Cup Sugar
2 tsp Soy Sauce
3 Tbsp Milk
Leftover Cooked Roast Beef
In a bowl whisk together eggs, sugar, soy sauce and milk. Set aside. In a skillet, saute peppers and onions. When the vegetables are almost cooked, add the roast beef to the skillet just to heat it up. Pour in the egg mixture and cook. Once the bottom is cooked, divide the egg mixture into sections and flip them each over until all the egg mixture is fully cooked. Serve over rice.
