Crochet Collar Shirt Refashion

Crochet Yarn collar shirt refashion

This is a repost of the tutorial that I did for Bugaboo, Mini, Mr. & Me for her Yarn it All Series.

When Kimberly asked me to be a part of her Yarn it All series, I immediately said yes.  Then I started thinking… what in the world am I going to do with yarn?! I am a begining crochet-er at best and it takes me a REALLY long time to crochet anything.   Usually my hats are too small and the shoes I crochet aren’t the same size.  So my yarn skills may be a little rusty but my refashion skills are doing alright.  I thought if I could combine yarn with a refashion, then I may just be able to pull off a cute DIY yarn project after all. And thus the Crochet Collar Shirt Refashion was initiated. [Read more…]

Yarn it All Guest Post: Crochet Collar

Crochet Collar Refashion Tutorial

I am over at the blog Bugaboo Mini, Mr & Me guest posting in her Yarn it All Series.   Kimberly always comes up with the most creative names for her series’! She asked if I wanted to do a guest post involving yarn and I said yes before I realized that I don’t really know that much about yarn.  I do know a little about refashioning clothes though so I grabbed a crochet hook that looked nice and a yarn that felt soft and I closed my eyes and jumped.  I came up with this crochet collar refashion that I actually love quite a bit.  Come see how I did it!

My Day Friday: Baby Gifts from Way Back When

As I was going through my camera roll, I came across a few projects from way back when.  Three of those projects were baby gifts that I had made and never shared before.  I am always looking for baby gift ideas so if you are looking for some, you can add these three to your idea list.  The first two are pretty easy and quick to put together.  If you have a white onesie, then you are already on your way.

A Cowl of My Own

When I came back to the blog world after my all day morning sickness was under control, I found that I had missed a lot of things that I would have enjoyed.  The main one was the crochet along over at Maybe Matilda.  I am still working on my self taught crochet skills and so this would have been a great way for me to practice with a little help.  Even though I missed the crochet along, I still wanted to make a cowl of my own.  I followed Rachel’s instructions and was happy with how good of a teacher she was.  The pattern instructions could have been in hieroglyphics for how much I understood them but Rachel made it so easy!

I chose a bulky Lion Brand Homespun yarn in the color 394 Golden.

I had to add a little prego shot.  Six months down.

Come on baby boy!!
